Finding My Voice:
A Year of “Firsts”
I was only 10 when I first met civil rights leader, Congressman John Lewis, in Selma, Alabama. I was honored to join him as we marched across the Edmond Pettus Bridge to proclaim that all of us are equal and free to follow our hearts. Now, I’m following my heart and learning more about our history and our future as Americans. It has been an amazing year of firsts since Selma. I’ve put some of the greatest moments into a book that I think you will cherish.
